The practice is currently on-site overseeing the conversion of an important complex of Grade II* mill buildings dating from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, providing 72 apartments, of which 18 units are to provide a social housing element in conjunction with Moorlands Housing Association.
The proposals required careful consideration of all aspects of the viable conversion of the historic buildings, including a careful study of all structural and mechanical aspects. Lengthy negotiations have been carried out with all amenity bodies including English Heritage, SPAB, the Georgian Group and the Victorian Society. The project is due for completion later on this year.
