Banqueting Tower, Eyton-on-Severn
?>Client Vivat Trust
Date 1981
Eyton Summer House was the first of Arrol & Snell’s projects for the Vivat Trust. The octagonal Tudor structure was originally built as a detached banqueting house and is now all that remains of Eyton Hall. Before commencement on site, the structure was in a poor condition and, as such, the future of the historic building was significantly at risk.
In order to provide a sustainable future for the building, it was decided to convert it to holiday let accommodation. Arrol & Snell oversaw the conversion, which included significant repairs and renewals to the sandstone and brickwork elements that were in keeping with the materials and techniques of the original structure.
