The project involved a scheme for a residential and commercial development on a difficult town centre site in Shrewsbury. The proposals required the demolition of an existing building in a conservation area and involved lengthy negotiations with English Heritage and the Local Authority along with a full scheme of archaeological investigations in the vicinity of the old town wall. Although the proposal involved the loss of a building of some architectural merit it was felt that the new proposal sufficiently contributed to the street scape and provided a much stronger focal point at a key node within the town centre.

The finished scheme provided 15 No two and three bedroom apartments with commercial use on the ground floor with amenity space and parking to the rear.

The building was carefully detailed in order to reflect the architecture of the surrounding streetscape.
